Recreation & Region – Winter events

Events in winter:
packed with snow and fun.

“Everything is going to be alright ” by Martin Creed

A new neon work by Martin Creed, ‘Work No. 3485 EVERYTHING IS GOING TO BE ALRIGHT’, will light up the façade of the Gstaad Palace from mid-December through to the end of February in a recurring collaboration with the leading international art gallery Hauser & Wirth.

Awarded the Turner Prize in 2001 for ‘Work 227: The lights going on and off’, Creed has become known for hugely varied work, which is by turns uncompromising, entertaining, shocking and beautiful. The Creed installation on the Gstaad Palace coincides with the presentation ‘Louise Bourgeois. The Heart Has Its Reasons’, available to experience at the exhibition space Tarmak22 in Gstaad and on from the 19 December 2020 until the 3 February 2021.

Ferrari Portofino M: A touch of summer in winter

The Ferrari Portofino M, which features the legendary ‘M’ suffix, for Modificata, in its name, is the evolution of the Ferrari Portofino. The new Prancing Horse 2+ spider will be on exclusive display at the Gstaad Palace main entrance from 21 December to 21 February. We will celebrate this touch of summer in winter with an inspired dish, which can be tasted at the Grand Restaurant and a refreshing cocktail available at the Bar. A test driver will assist you in discovering more.

India comes to Gstaad, Bollywood to the Gstaad Palace

Originally from Delhi, Ravi Bajaj has lived in Manchester since 1997. He used to cook for the guests of the world-famous Taj Hotel in Mumbai, now he is head chef in his own enterprise: With his innovative DILLI concept, he caused quite a stir in the Indian restaurant scene of Britain. For the past five years, Ravi Bajaj has been guest chef at the Gstaad Palace. While here, he usually offers three or four of his classic dishes, such as the tandoori chicken with its vibrant red colour that stems from saffron.

Ravi’s recipes have style. His classics come with a certain twist, a trace lighter, a trace more playful. Together with head chef Franz W. Faeh he offers Palace guests a delightfully exciting menu at our Grand Restaurant during the entire winter season – a treat for eyes and taste buds alike.
